The lamp brings together solid Sheesham and natural alabaster, two materials shaped by very different kinds of time. The wooden body is hand-lathed by skilled artisans, allowing its grain to travel across a sculptural vertical form. Above it, the alabaster globe carries mineral veining that no drawing could repeat exactly.
The craft lies not in forcing these materials into sameness, but in knowing where one should stop and the other begin. Dense timber anchors the composition. Smooth stone continues it. The transition feels quiet because the materials have been allowed to keep their own identities.
Then the light comes on. The G9 source disappears inside the alabaster and the globe begins to glow from within. Veins that seemed restrained in daylight become more legible, while the Sheesham remains dense and opaque beneath it. One material reveals light. The other gives it gravity.
Come back to the stone after dark. It rarely looks exactly as memory left it.
